6th Annual Safe Patient Handling and Movement Conference

ErgoSafe Products will be exhibiting at the 5th Annual Safe Patient Handling and Movement Conference. Our product offering aims at reducing caregiver injury and compliments recommendations within the OSHA guidlines for nursing homes. Be sure to stop by our booth (#46) to learn about our Caregiver solutions for safe patient handling and injury reduction, as well as hear about our conference special offer.

The Safe Patient Handling and Movement Conference will provide participants with lessons learned, best practices and cutting edge research findings related to safe patient handling and movement. Both general and concurrent program sessions will be offered. Participants may select presentations from concurrent focus sessions including technology, facility based education strategies, organizational strategies and cost/benefits related to no-lift programs. Detailed conference materials will include cognitive aids and tools to facilitate implementation of best practices. It will also offer a full exhibition of safe patient handling products and devices.

Upon the completion of this program, the participant should be able to:

* Identify three best practices for patient care ergonomics.
* Discuss technological solutions for safe patient handling and movement.
* Identify three ergonomic hazards common in patient care settings.
* Consider strategies for reducing risk to caregivers at your facility.
* Discuss the cost/benefit of various interventions to reduce the risk for musculoskeletal injuries in patient care providers.

"In order to assist with patient repositioning and lateral transfers, we tried the ErgoSafe line of injury reduction products and were amazed with our experiences. The quality of these products and easy to follow usage instructions have virtually removed all difficulty while manually handling patients in bed. It has truly helped my staff feel more confident with their patients and has reduced their aches and pains once experienced with patient handling." — Erin Brasser, RN - Patient Care Manager , St. Mary's Health Center
